It has been an exceptionally hot and humid summer here in Brisbane. Quickly checking the BOM radar (the weather images from the bureau of meteorology) for signs of rain for my beloved garden has been a regular occurrence.
This sort of feels like the astro energy right now. Last night, the heavens finally opened again and the release from the sky has cooled things down a little (although the humidity is still intense).
While not an eclipse, this New Moon will set the foundation for the month of February which we’ll see a lunar eclipse on the 11th and a solar eclipse on the 27th…the change is coming!
Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and unlike his celestial neighbour Capricorn, he prefers to be outside of limits, the boundaries and the norm. As an air sign, Aquarius is full of bright ideas, possibilities and is known as a humane sign. If you’d like to read up more about Aquarius, you might like this post.
Aquarius is the sign of the collective or the tribe. After the darkness of the balsamic moon phase, this New Moon may inspire you to reconnect with your own tribe. Be inspired by those who truly value your uniqueness, individuality as well as your weirdness.
Saturn, the ruler of this New Moon is in Sagittarius, where truth, justice and integrity prevail. The house that holds the sign of the archer will give you insight to where you may need to act in accordance with your own personal philosophies. Saturn may also provide you with a reality check if you’ve been letting your guard down, or letting other’s opinions cloud your own.
Venus is in square to Saturn under this New Moon. Adjustments to relationships both professional and personal are highlighted. Any tensions you’re feeling now will be a clue to where you need to consider your commitments. Work within the limits that feel right for you, even if that means having to shift the goal posts.
Mercury and Pluto align the day succeeding the New Moon. Issues you’ve been grappling with since December may now come to the surface. A truth may be revealed or a missing piece of information may come to hand that can help you make an informed decision.
Words are very powerful when Mercury and Pluto connect. Be careful with what you say as words can hurt, but they can also heal.
