This weekend brings a feisty Full Moon in Sagittarius that also conjuncts Mars. This double dose of fire is a volatile pairing. While your desire for action is high, progress may be slow.
Mars’ opposition to the Sun also marks the middle of his current retrograde phase. This represents a turning point or change of direction in where you may be focusing your energy, drive and sheer will.
Full Moon’s have a tendency to bring something to light or to illuminate an area of life that feels unclear. As the Full Moon rises over the eastern horizon at sunset, with the red glow of Mars, there will be no ignoring the issues that are currently bringing you the most grief or cause for worry.
When the watery Moon and fiery Mars combine, one of two things can occur. Your fire can be quelled, or you can create steam. The lack of water in this lunation suggests a mighty fire of some description will erupt. What may seem like a disaster now can guide you towards right path that will be highlighted under next month’s Full Moon, also in Sagittarius.
Approximately 8 hours before the lunation reaches its exact degree, Mercury stations direct, officially ending his retrograde phase. As he begins to slowly regain speed, more information will come to hand.
Recently, I found myself being drawn to cards again- a combination of tarot, angel oracles as well as my long held favourite, the astrological tarot. Most mornings, over my coffee and Facebook feed, I will draw a card from whichever pack takes my fancy. Today, I chose the angel oracle from Doreen Virtue and drew the card “Blessing in Disguise.” I found it poignant under this lunation, as I don’t expect it to be pretty. I do suspect the Moon will shed its knowing glow upon what doesn’t feel right, but will ultimately, be a blessing in disguise.
“The angels sent you this card to help you recognise the blessing in the midst of an apparent challenge. What you’ve appeared to have lost needed to fall away, and will be replaced with something better. Have no fear for your future, but continue praying and following the guidance that comes to you through repetitive feelings, thoughts, visions, and words.”
