Full Moon in Gemini, Stalled Details

It’s now December and we’ve reached the last month of 2017. It’s crazy how fast this year has flown by.
So many people I’ve been speaking to, both in client sessions as well as family and friends, have mentioned how Christmas has really ‘snuck up’ this year.

It’s an odd thought process that many of us undertake. It’s not like our calendars change or a week gets deleted here or there, but it’s the feeling of time that can change.

That is one of the reasons I love astrology. It can help us describe the nature of time.

Although the topic of this blog post is the Full Moon, it’s impossible to discuss this lunation without outlining the current Mercury/Saturn tango.

Time may feel super-fast this year this year is due to Mercury’s extra long stay in Sagittarius. Being on the go-slow while in one of the fastest signs is like having one foot on the gas and the other on the brake at the same time.

The meeting of Mercury and Saturn, who is known for providing obstacles and blockages has doubled down on this warped feeling of time.

Together, Mercury and Saturn can bring about delays or challenges. Topics including contracts, logistics, the submission of paperwork, the negotiation of deals can be delayed under the current astro weather.

Pressure, frustration and tension can mount especially if you’re looking to tie up loose ends to finalise the year.
As December also brings the end of Saturn’s time in Sagittarius, there is a definite bookend feel to the last 3 years.

This retrograde phase can help with contemplation, finalising or refreshing of perspectives as a result of Saturn’s trip in Sagittarius since the end of 2014.

The Full Moon occurs very early Monday morning (1:47am AEST). This weekend will bring a culmination of sorts to the current astro-vibe.

The lunation ruler, Mercury, stationed retrograde and still conjoined with Saturn. The Moon may shine a big bright light on problems, concerns or what has been stuck.

The Gemini Full Moon is generally associated with the details, but a square from Neptune can make them feel unclear, foggy or confusing.

Like Sagittarius, Gemini is a sign known for its swiftness. Being at a standstill, ready to shift into reverse and alongside Saturn, this is a definite go-slow weekend.

Details you’ve overlooked could be spotlighted for you to re-work or re-evaluate. The devil is in the details right now, even if those details are hard to define. You may need to surrender to the fact that you don’t know what you don’t know, and that some things may not be as they seem.

There is a strong contradiction between facts and feelings under this Full Moon. The best bet might be taking a leaf from Mercury’s book and stall making decisions. Neptune’s nebulous’ influence will make intuition and deep feelings the way to navigate the terrain ahead.

Clarity and crystallisation of ideas and decisions will get the green light when Mercury and Saturn join a 3rd and final time mid-January.
