Planetary Weather

Week Beginning Monday 14 December

As the end of the week signifies the end of the working year for most of us, likewise, the planetary weather has wound down a notch also!

Sun square Jupiter – 22 degrees Sagittarius and Virgo

Astro Weather

It’s the darkest of dark Moons this week as she enters the balsamic phase in the sign of Scorpio, before Friday’s New Moon.
This is a wind down phase where you may find your attention is drawn inwards and you’re less inclined to be overly social or energetic. With the added flavour of Scorpio’s depth and darkness, emotions may be stirred and feelings of release and letting go hard to ignore. This Moon may bring into light feelings you have buried or chosen to ignore.

Sun in Sagittarius

The Sun entered Sagittarius overnight officially kicking off the silly season! As Jupiter finds his home in the sign of the archer, Sadge season often symbolises excess and this time of year it’s of food, booze, good times and spending!

Mercury In Sagittarius

As the Sun rises tomorrow morning 21 November, ‪#‎Mercury‬ will also in a brand new sign of ‪#‎Sagittarius‬.
Some of Mercury’s main themes are communication, thinking, the mind, as well as the collection of facts and data. Sometimes Mercury can’t see the forest for the trees but when he moves into the sign of the archer, those ideas can be thrust not only through the forest but onto the vast horizons beyond it.

New Moon In Scorpio

While you were sleeping. …
The Scorpio New Moon occurred!
Secrets or hidden truths will begin to come into light. Scorpio has a shedding quality that will swiftly do away with whatever no longer serves its purpose- think a snake shedding its skin to reveal a renewed version of itself.

Karmic Interceptions

On November 12 the Moons Nodes will change from Libra/Aries to Virgo/Pisces. The Nodes change signs around every 18 months, so this ingress is one of November’s astrological highlights.

The Nodes are symbolic interceptions where the Moons’ path around the Earth crosses the ecliptic. These were calculations made by the ancients in order to predict eclipses which were considered omens in themselves. Use of the Nodes date as far back as the 1st Century BCE and were important indicators for timing of Kings to conquer lands or to predict the longevity of someones life.

Virgo Overload!

The Moon joins Venus, Mars and Jupiter in the sign of Virgo this afternoon at 12:22pm (Brisbane time).
Enhancing the ‘get it done’ vibe, the Virgo stellium (a group of 3 or more planets in one sign) insisits you analyse the task at hand work on the important or vital issues only.
For some of us, this level or organisation and effieciency is foreign and frustrating, especially if you like a ‘take it as it comes’ approach- que other other mutable signs Gemini, Sagittarius and Pisces.
