Month: December 2017

Full Moon in Cancer – Passionate Compassion

Sensitive emotions may rise and fall as soulful Neptune triggers this lunation. Logic and reason may be overcome by intuition or your gut instinct. The nebulous nature of Neptune prefers to err on the side of fantasy and imagination. If things don’t make much sense under the Full Moon, accept that and allow your feelings to guide you.

2018 – Dark Light

Overall, 2018 reflects the concept of ‘be the change you wish to see in the world.’ Deep introspection and questioning of your personal priorities is a must. It’s not about change for changes’ sake, but rather aligning the changes within your heart to create the life you want.

Venus in Capricorn and Mercury Update

Venus doesn’t like being in Capricorn much. You see, Venus likes shiny things, she loves to play, dance and have fun. Saturn is the cranky old man who complains the music is too loud. With a restrictive influence on Venus, you may have reduced spending, socialising or had ‘low vibe’ Christmas this year.

Solstice Wishes – Stillness in Fleeting Time

So, while there is still plenty to do, I feel a stillness I couldn’t reach until now. Saturn’s ingress into Capricorn, the Solstice and Mercury stationing today, I feel I can finally breathe.
As I collect my thoughts on 2017 and focus forward on 2018, there is certainly the changing of the guard on many levels.

Saturn In Capricorn

If you have some major inroads you’d like to make on a particular goal over the next 3 years, then Saturn in Capricorn can help you get clear. Facing some harsh realities will be very likely, but kidding yourself isn’t going to do you any favours. Short term pain for long term gain is an ethos worthwhile adopting now.

Mercury Cazimi

It must also be noted that this all happens within the final degrees of Sagittarius, where Saturn will depart and not return for 30 years. Mercury retreating through the archer’s fire asks us to reflect on life topics that required a higher level of responsibility since December 2014.

Mars in Scorpio

Mars loves momentum, action and progress, while in Scorpio that energy can be directed toward a specific goal. Scorpio is known for is obsessive tendencies and do-or-die approach, which can boost increased focus and determination for the next 6 weeks.

Full Moon in Gemini, Stalled Details

That is one of the reasons I love astrology. It can help us describe the nature of time. Although the topic of this blog post is the Full Moon, it’s impossible to discuss this lunation without outlining the current Mercury/Saturn tango.
